Owned by the sixth generation of the Dal Pozzo family, the surrounding 59 acres of manicured gardens overlooking Lake Maggiore have never been prettier and the resort comprises three buildings: the majestic Castello, an 18th-century Palazzo and the refurbished Scuderie (stables), all of which collectively house the bedrooms. The resort is also home to the romantic Le Fief gourmet restaurant, Dan Garden Lounge, Cassiano III Ballroom, Folia Life Pool & bar and an American bar. And despite the resort’s grandeur, lavish chandeliers, period paintings, impressive wood panelling, stucco work and lofty ceilings, an intimate and boutique atmosphere cosies the place right up.

The bedrooms are classical and unique, complemented by marble bathrooms and wonderful views over the lake that miraculously change from season to season. Summer at Castello Dal Pozzo Resort is particularly special with days spent by the outdoor pool, taking picnics within the gardens and/or cycling along the many routes nearby (a secure bike room is available). Alternative activities include cooking classes, wine-tasting sessions, photography lessons and guided tours of the ancient Castello.
